29th April 2008
Windsurfing: The Dip-Felixstowe
Wind Direction: SE
Wind Stength: 16
Surf / Sea State: choppy
Air Temperature: 10
Sea Temperature: 9
Weather: sunny then cloudy
Max Speed: 20.8 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 18.2 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

It started off one star as I rushed down to the dip at 4 to sail with Paul.I rigged 7.5 on the Xantos and was going to try and video the session with my camers straped to an old bike hut(I don't care if I look like a complete burke!!!! ) I set off and headed for the R.Deben or I should say flondered as the wind had dropped!!!! I beached at the golf bar just as the camera was falling off-not my best idea.I had to walk the camera back to my van and returned to the bar just as the two kiters were packing up because of the light winds.I thought I would struggle back but after a couple of slow runs it clouded over and the wind filled in.I spent over an hour reaching along the coast to the Spa and back !!!! On my last run I noticed the bomb disposal crew in their boat waving me out of the way.I returned and packed up and on the way home there was hundreds of people lining the prom waiting for the bomb(which they had just found) to be detonated. It went off just as I got home-can't wait to watch the local news!!!!

ps. made it on About Anglia TV - I was the windsurfer escorted away !!!! famous at last !!!!!
